FOLD, watercolour drawings on Hahnemulle watercolour paper , 30/40 cm, 2025

This series of watercolour drawings continues my interest in images builds up from repetitive marks and gestures, connecting it with my textile work.

Each drawing starts from a small detail of a fold from a Classical European painting. The main point of interest of the work does not lie in a realistic depiction of the piece of fold, but in building up a meditative process that strengthens the mind’s focus. In this regard, the drawings continues my interest developed in the previous Absorption series.
